OUR SERVICES
The services of Paintseal Europe Ltd (’PSE’) include the sale of paint and fabric protection products for motor vehicles. PSE trades as Gen-3 insure (‘Gen-3’) for insurance intermediation. Paintseal Europe Ltd is authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority for insurance distribution and credit broking services, Reg number FRN 798161 - we are a credit broker NOT a Lender.

OUR COOKIE POLICY

Insurance pricing and policies are based on a range of underwriting factors. Insurers are entitled to a fair presentation of the risk.

We process data about your complaint as this necessary for us to handle your complaint effectively and to ensure that all complaints are handled efficiently and fairly.
HOW WE USE AND PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information for administrative and business purposes. For each purpose we must have legal grounds for processing and we will rely on the following:
· we need to use your personal information to enter into or perform our contract with you for example in order to place your insurance cover. We need your personal information to provide you with a quotation.
· we have legitimate business interests to use your personal information such as maintaining our business records and keeping records of insurance policies we place should you need, for example, to make a claim. When using your personal information for these purposes, we have considered your rights and ensured that our business need does not cause you harm.
· we have a legal or regulatory obligation to use your personal information. For example, regulators impose certain record-keeping rules which we must adhere to.

WHO WE WILL SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH
We may share your personal information with the following third parties for the purposes we have set out
· our insurance partners such as wholesale insurance brokers, managing general agencies and other insurers who act as insurance distributors
· other third parties who assist in the administration of insurance policies such as accountants, auditors, lawyers, and other experts and motor dealerships
· fraud detection agencies and other third parties who operate and maintain fraud detection register's
· our regulators
· credit reference agencies
· third party services providers such as IT suppliers, finance and payment providers, document management providers, outsourced invoicing and insurance software providers
· our claims management partners.
· if you have a complaint, we will use your personal data to fulfil our reporting obligations to regulators, ombudsmen and other external dispute resolution services in order to fulfil our legal or regulatory obligations. In addition, we will share your data with wholesale brokers, underwriters, insurers or TPA that is involved in dealing with your complaint.
We will not knowingly sell your information to unconnected third parties or third party organisations. We do not anticipate any need to send your personal information abroad. We will only transfer your information outside the European Economic Area if we are required to do so by law. Some of our insurance partners might be based outside the European Economic Area but we have no control over the transfer of that information by them.
HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION
Your information is stored on secure servers. Encrypting transfers of data to or from our servers with RSA Encryption. Technology encrypting payments made on our websites use Opayo which meets Payment Card Industry Data (PCI DSS) compliance. No card data is held except within this fully compliant system. Where we grant access to Customer specific data 2FA authentication is used.
HOW WE SECURE YOUR INFORMATION
Data is also held on a cloud secure system. The data is encrypted with password protection for Gen-3personnel internal access only. In addition, this data is restricted to personnel who have the responsibility to handle the data.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
We retain your information for no longer than necessary considering any legal or regulatory obligations we have. For example, our regulators require us to keep records for certain periods. Some of our policies have a period of insurance of up to four years. We will only retain your information for as longas it is necessary to perform our contract with you or to satisfy our legitimate business interests.
USE OF AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING AND PROFILING
We do not use automated decision making or profiling technology.
YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Under data protection law you have the right to make certain requests in relation to the personal information we hold about you. We will not usually make a charge for dealing with these requests unless we consider that it will take an extended amount of time for us to comply with your request. If you wish to exercise these rights at any time, please contact us using the details set out in the contacting us section. There maybe times when we may not be able to comply with your request, for example where this conflicts with our obligations to our regulator and /or there is a legal requirement. Should we not be able to comply with your request we will tell you the reason why. We will always respond to any request you make. There may also be circumstances where exercising some of these rights (such as the right to erasure and the right to withdraw consent) will mean your insurance can no longer be provided and it may result in the cancellation of your policy. In those circumstances you will lose the right to bring any claim including in relation to any events that occurred before you exercised your right of erasure. Your policy terms and conditions set out what will happen in the event your policy cancelled.

You are entitled to a copy of the personal information we hold about you and certain details about how we use it.
The right to rectification
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate and complete. Should you have reason to believe that the information we hold is inaccurate you can ask us to amend or update it.

In certain circumstances, you are entitled to ask us to stop using your personal information, for example where you think that we no longer need to use your personal information or where you think that the personal information we hold about you might be incorrect.

AUTOMATED PROCESSING AND PROFILING
When calculating insurance premiums our insurance market partners may compare your personal data against industry averages. Your personal data may also be used to create the industry averages going forward. This is known as profiling and is used to ensure premiums reflect risk. Profiling may also be used by our insurance providers to assess information you provide to understand fraud patterns.
